REVV is the main utility token and in-game currency for branded motorsports’ blockchain game titles produced by Animoca Brands, such as the F1 Delta Time blockchain game platform, and a title based on the MotoGP motorsport intellectual property, released in Q4 of 2020. The motorsport experiences provided in the Animoca’s games are connected by a shared economy made possible by the REVV token. The REVV token is designed to be the currency of purchase, utility, and action with potential application toward additional future titles. REVV is designed to leverage the blockchain assets concept of interoperability, wherein a token can be utilized across multiple connected products.

REVV is an interesting approach to bridge the blockchain technology with the gaming industry. Having one utility token for multiple game titles offers various benefits to players and game publishers and will encourage players to explore the other games that are part of this connected ecosystem, and has the additional potential benefit that any content or tokens could increase in utility as the larger token ecosystem expands. However, this use case makes the token very specific to Animoca’s ecosystem and the usage is pretty much limited. The project smart contracts are basic and from the look of their codebase, it doesn’t look like they are planning on diving deeper in the technological aspects of it, beyond the token they have now. The token is trading on both centralized (KuCoin) and decentralized (Uniswap) exchanges.
