What Happened to TMAI Staking
The Base staking and vesting dashboard was permanently shut down following a security incident involving an admin wallet compromise. The attacker drained approximately 2.11 billion TMAI from the Base staking and vesting contracts.
The TMAI token contract itself was not hacked, and individual user wallets were not drained.
What We Did About It
Token Metrics manually returned all TMAI and veTMAI to eligible holders directly from the TM Foundation treasury. This includes:
Your originally staked TMAI
All earned staking rewards based on how long you staked
How Repayment Was Calculated
You received back your original staked TMAI plus veTMAI rewards calculated from your stake length:
12-month stakes: Received double their tokens (original + 1x reward multiplier)
Shorter stakes received proportionally lower multipliers based on duration
For example, if you staked 1 million TMAI for 12 months, you received 2 million TMAI back (original stake + 1 million in veTMAI rewards).
How to Verify Your Repayment
Check the Base wallet that was connected to your staking position.
Look for an incoming TMAI transfer from the TM Foundation treasury.

All repayments were completed in the past few weeks. If you were an eligible staker, the tokens should already be in your wallet.
Is Staking Still Available?
No. There are currently no staking plans on Solana. The Base staking contracts have been decommissioned and will not be reopened. There is no live staking dashboard.
What About Vesting?
If you had remaining TMAI in a vesting schedule, the outstanding amount was added to your Solana migration claim. It will be paid as unlocked Solana TMAI when you complete the claim process.

Before you claim: the Solana wallet that receives your TMAI needs at least 0.01 SOL for Solana network fees and token-account rent. Claims can fail if the Solana destination wallet has 0 SOL.
